Day 1 Xian from Beijing by Bullet Train

Today, you will be greeted by your driver at your Beijing hotel lobby and escorted you to the train station, you'll take bullet train from Beijing to Xian, it takes around 5.5 hours. Upon arrival, our local Xian tour guide will pick you up at the exit of Xian train station, you will find a welcome signage "Xian Private Tour". And your Xian heritage tour start.

Your adventure will start with Xian Ancient City Wall. As one of the UNESCO's world Heritage Site, Xi'an Ancient City Wall was built in the 14th century, under the regime of Emperor Zhuyuanzhang in Ming dynasty, had the function of protecting the cities or towns as military defense systems in ancient China. The Ancient City Wall is one of the oldest, largest and best preserved Chinese city walls, exhibits the "complete features of the rampart architecture of feudal society". 

Then move to Bell Tower. In Chinese history from Ming Dynasty, each city had a bell tower and a drum tower. The bell was sounded at dawn and the drum at dusk each day in ancient time, a means of telling time. Xian was not exception. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower of Xi'an date back to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The two are located in the center of the Xian city connecting the four roads from east, south, west and north within the city wall. Atop the Bell Tower you will have a panoramic view of the Xian City.

Lunch will be arranged at a local Chinese restaurant, our tour guide will give you good recommendations on spot.

In the afternoon, your tour guide will take you to Daming Palace National Heritage Park. Once was the largest and most grandiose palace complex, Daming Palace was a national symbol in the Tang Dynasty. Originally built in 634 AD, the 8th year of Emperor Taizong of Tang, the whole palace was totally damaged at the end of the Tang Dynasty; with the fall of the empire, legendary Daming Palace had disappeared in the history. According to historical records, the palace occupied an area of about 3.2 square kilometres, which is the 4.5 times of the Forbidden City in Beijing. It is recognized as the representative of Chinese palaces and garden architectures and praised as the Eastern Sanctuary on the Silk Road.

The rebuilt Daming Palace National Heritage Park is divided into three parts: the Front Garden, Palace and Back Garden. Wondering in the park, one could actually sense the lingering glory, grandness, sorrow and pain of this place by the view of the ancient ruins; for they are the proof and witness of the great empire' s raise and fall.

Drive you to your hotel in Xian downtown.

Day 2 Xian to Beijing by Bullet Train

After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at your hotel lobby on time. And you will be transferred to Terra-cotta Army directly, it takes around 40 minutes for one way.

Terra-cotta Army and Horses Museum is known as "the eighth Wonders of the world", the museum shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture which is listed as the most significant discovery of the 20th century. Up to now, there has discovered a total of 179 accompanying burial pits of different connotations and various shapes in Qinshihuan's Mausoleum area. The discovery of these pits has provided all important significance in the research of the burial system of the Qinshihuang's Mausoleum, the characteristics structures and characteristics of the burial pits. However. What makes people feel amazing is that of all the burial pits, none has been found survived from being burnt down.

Enjoy lunch at a local Chinese resturant nearby Terra-cotta Warriors, then drive you back to Xian downtown.

After lunch, you'll head for Hanyangling Museum. It is the joint tomb of the fourth Emperor Jing (Liu Qi) and his queen in Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-24 AD). It is the most intact royal mausoleum and the most important tangible document in the research of burial customs and civilization from this dynasty ever discovered.comprises the emperor's tomb, empress's tomb, the south and north burial pits, ceremonial site, human sacrifice graveyard and criminals' cemetery. An east-to-west sacred road will lead you to the tomb of Emperor Jing at its western end. It looks like a topless pyramid standing in the center, with many satellite tombs scattered in all directions to protect it. Close beside mausoleum lies the tomb of his queen, mother of famous Emperor Wu of Han (Liu Che) who was later buried there to accompany her husband. The whole structure of the mausoleum is an irregular rectangle, but looks clear and neat. Its construction layout fully indicates the centralization of the imperial state powers and their predominant hierarchic ranks.

After finished the Hanyangling Museum, you will be taken back to Xian train station and return to Beijing. When you arrive in Beijing, drive you back to your Beijing hotel.
