Day 1 Huashan Arrival

Upon your arrival at Huashan Train Station, you’ll be warmly greeted by our local guide holding a sign that reads "Your Way Holiday." From the station, you’ll be transferred to the Huashan Scenic Area by taxi, a quick 5-minute drive. Our guide will ensure a smooth transition, handling all the details to start your adventure effortlessly. If you prefer a more comfortable journey, we can also arrange pickup directly from your hotel in Huashan. Additionally, if you need assistance with travel arrangements from Xi'an or Beijing to Huashan, including train tickets and transfers, just let us know. We’re here to take care of every detail, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Starting your journey at Huashan, you'll first explore the tranquil Yuquan Temple, located at the base of the mountain. This revered Taoist temple is not only a spiritual landmark but also serves as a gateway for those embarking on their journey to the mountain. As you explore Yuquan Temple, you'll be immersed in its serene atmosphere and rich Taoist heritage. Afterward, a scenic 20-minute walk will lead you from the temple to the entrance of Mt. Huashan. From here, you'll set off toward Huixin Rock, a relatively easy hike that offers stunning vistas of the surrounding landscape. Along this path, you’ll have ample opportunities to appreciate the natural beauty of Huashan, from lush greenery to dramatic rock formations, making for a memorable start to your mountain adventure.

As you approach the Thousands Feet and Bai Chi Gorge, the dramatic terrain of Mount Huashan reveals itself in full force, requiring careful navigation and climbing. The rugged path takes approximately two hours to traverse, leading you to the North Peak. For a more leisurely ascent, a cable car is available, offering a swift alternative to the challenging hike. Rising to about 1,615 meters, the North Peak presents a breathtaking panorama, its steep cliffs and narrow paths creating an ethereal, sky-high walkway. Among these cliffs, the “Ear-Pressing Cliff” stands out, renowned for its sheer drop that necessitates hikers to cling closely to the rock face, as if pressing their ear against the cliffside. This dramatic feature adds to the exhilarating experience of conquering one of China's most famous mountain peaks.

Continuing your hike from the North Peak, the trek to the East Peak spans approximately 2.5 hours, unveiling a series of captivating natural landscapes and landmarks. The East Peak, renowned for its stunning vistas, offers a memorable journey through some of Huashan's most iconic spots. Along the way, you'll encounter the Heavenly Ladders, a series of steep, rugged paths that challenge and reward hikers with their dramatic views. The Riyue Cliff provides a striking vantage point where you can marvel at the interplay of sunlight and shadow. Canglong Ling, with its ancient dragon-like ridge, and the Golden Lock Pass, an impressive rock formation, add to the area's grandeur. After a day of exploring the East Peak and its awe-inspiring vistas, your guide will escort you to your hotel located at the summit of Huashan Mountain. Day 2 Huashan Departure

If the weather permits, highly recommend you get up early to enjoy the sunrise scenery of Huashan Mountain, there is a platform for the sunrise view. After breakfast, continue your hiking to the South Peak, it takes around 2 hours from East Peak. It will be an challenge hiking for this section, the Huashan Mountain Plank Walk is one of the highlights of this hiking route as lots of hiker lover want to experience when they travel to Huashan Mountain, it is the most dangerous part in Huashan Mountain. The plank walk with a history more than 700 years, you will find a wooden trail on the side off the mountain cliff when you reach at 2155m high. The trail will lead to a teahouse, it was a pilgrims way for nuns and monks to pray in the old times. Nowadays its possible to walk this trail along with many other visitors, and the scariest thing is that traffic goes both ways! It's known for its fatal falls. The total length of this plank walk is arond 50 meters, and it divided into 3 sections, the lower section is the most dangerous.

Next, enjoy a leisurely 30-minute downhill hike to the Middle Peak, a relaxing and accessible trek that offers breathtaking views along the way. Upon reaching the Middle Peak, you'll immerse yourself in the spiritual heart of Huashan, one of Taoism's holiest sites. Here, you’ll find an array of ancient Taoist temples, each steeped in rich history and cultural significance. These sacred spaces attract thousands of Taoist monks and nuns who come here to seek enlightenment and offer their prayers. As you explore the serene temples, you'll gain deep insights into Taoist practices and Chinese spiritual culture. After a day of exploration and awe-inspiring views, you'll head to the West Peak to catch the cable car down the mountain. This scenic descent offers one last chance to appreciate the stunning landscapes of Huashan. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred back to your Xi'an downtown hotel or dropped off at the Huashan train station for your onward journey.
