Brief Introdution

Guanshan Plain is located in the southwest of Longxian County, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province and around 300 kilometers away from Xi'an City. It is the only provincial-level scenic spot with European-style style with alpine meadow as the main body in the inland area of Northwest China, and the national AAAA-class scenic spot.

Guanzhong Plain is a collection of forest, grassland, rivers, mountains, Gorges and other natural landscape, simple and natural without losing the spectacular, enjoy the "small Tianshan" reputation. Here, the landform is similar to that of central Europe the Alps. The climate is affected by the vertical zonal geographical conditions. Winter and spring are unbounded. Background

In the early Western Zhou Dynasty, the ancestor of the Qin Dynasty, Fei Zi, was feeding and feeding horses for the Zhou royal family between Panwei, and "Ma Da Fang Xie", with outstanding achievements. In the eighth year (890 BC), King Xiaowang Zhou was feuded as a city of food, and the city was built in the Moeryuan of Dental Township, Longxian County.

In 776 B.C., Qin Xianggong moved to build Panyi, located in Zhengjiagou tableland, southeast township of Longxian County. In 770 B.C., Xianggong escorted the Zhou royal family to move eastward to Luoyi. He was credited with the king of Zhou Ping and was officially feuded as a prince. Banyi became the first capital of Qin until 762 B.C. For 14 years, the Qin people started animal husbandry in the grassland of Longshan Mountains. The process of transformation from nomadic to agricultural nationalities was completed, and it was precisely in the Qianhe Plain that the Duke Kingdom was established and went to the Guanzhong Plain, thus unifying the whole country. Therefore, the Longshan Mountains and the Qianhe River Basin are the development areas of Qin culture and one of the birthplaces of the unified Han culture of the Chinese nation.

After the unification of the Qin Dynasty, Longshan, a place of thousands of rivers, became an ordinary county, but it was still the gateway to the northwest. The rocky land was the security of the whole Qin Dynasty. It was regarded as the necessary place for the soldiers to fight for "the key to the key to the throat and breathe through the throat".

In the Tang Dynasty, the animal husbandry in Guanshan was more developed. The imperial court set up Longyou animal husbandry prison, and the private animal husbandry of the princes and generals was also raised here. The heroic spirit of the Han and Tang Dynasties, which originated from Guan Shan grassland, must also be included in Chinese history. 

After the Tang Dynasty, the horse industry declined. In 1958, a state-owned Guanshan horse farm was established in Longxian County. The Kyrgyz mares were introduced and the Latvian male horses were selected for crossbreeding. The "Guanzhong horses" were bred so that the horses here could reproduce the features of the Han and Tang horses.
