Brief Introdution

Guanzhong Academy in Xi'an is the highest institution of learning in Shaanxi in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is also one of the four famous academies in China, the crown of the four northwest academies. Guanzhong academy is a large-scale building with six lecture halls in the middle saying "Yun Zhi Tang". There are four South rooms, six East and West rooms, and six East and West rooms. Behind the lecture hall are rockeries, three peaks towering green and "like a small Chinese mountain". Half an acre of square pond in front of the lecture hall is erected in the middle of the pavilion and a stone bridge is built. The academy has two doors, two doors and four doors. The Eight-King Poems written by Liu Meng, the Prime Minister of the county, are magnificent. The title of the academy is Wang Dazhi's calligraphy.

History & Background

Guanzhong Academy was built in the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Wanli years, is a famous institution in Shaanxi Province, one of the four academies. In July 2009, with the integration of Xi'an Normal School into Xi'an University of Arts and Sciences, since then Guanzhong Academy has become the North Campus of Xi'an University of Arts and Sciences, continuing the profound historical origin of the College of Arts and Sciences and Guanzhong Academy.

Guanzhong Academy is a famous Academy in Shaanxi Province in Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is one of the four academies in China. It is located in the west of Academy Gate Street in Nanmen, Xi'an. Guanzhong Academy has an important influence on the orientation of Xi'an University of Arts and Sciences and the construction of University culture. The spirit of Guanzhong Academy also has a positive effect on the economic, social and cultural construction of Xi'an City.

In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Guanzhong Academy played a very important role in the cultivation of talents, and nurtured a number of Confucian students for the local government to "guard against empty talk and implement it in a timely manner". Main Highlights

In the construction of style of study, Guanzhong Academy fully embodies the characteristics of being valuable, useful and practicing. "Astronomy, geography, Yin and Yang, luck, medical science and arithmetic are all investigated." Following this style of study, Xi'an University of Arts and Sciences revised the training program of applied talents, strengthened practical teaching and strengthened the cultivation of practical ability in accordance with the professional development thinking of "literature and science as the basis, work management as the most important, teacher training as the essence and specialty as the special".

Xi'an Academy of Arts and Sciences is located in Xi'an. Promoting traditional culture, exploring people's livelihood culture and innovating modern culture are the main tasks of school cultural research. The school established the Chang'an History and Culture Research Center with the idea of basing on the characteristics of Xi'an and doing articles in Han and Tang Dynasties".

The Research Center has conducted a comprehensive study on the philosophy, political system, environmental changes, literature and art, folk customs, educational phenomena, foreign exchanges and social life of Chang'an, which has promoted the overall level of the study of Xi'an's history and culture. At present, the center has been accepted by the provincial education department and has become a key research base at the provincial level.
