The best time to go to Jiayuguan is from March to November every year. It's the peak seasons for the tourists. It is recommended to wear winter coats, leather jackets, down coats, woolen hats, scarfs, gloves, sweaters, snow boots for the chilly spring.

By Plane
There are 3 airlines in Jiayuguan airport which have 8 routes and 8 navigable cities, such as Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Lanzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Nanjing. 

By Train
Jiayuguan has only one train station, and there are 9 trains to Urumqi, Lanzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an and other cities every day. There are special buses in the city to meet and see off passengers. It is the best way to go to the Jiayuguan.

By car
Jiayuguan has 312 National Highway across the whole Gansu province, reaching Lanzhou in the East and Urumqi in the west, with flat and wide secondary pavement. The total length of the roads in the territory is 452km. Go to Jiayuguan by car is not a good choice.

3.How to get around Jiayuguan?

By Bike
It's a good choice to ride a bicycle to visit Jiayuguan. But not recommended in summer.

By Bus
The area of Jiayuguan City is not large, there are not many bus lines, and the ticket price is 1 yuan. The operation time is 07:00-22:30.

By Taxi
Most of the attractions in Jiayuguan can be taken by taxi. The starting price is 6 yuan, which can be marked. It is very convenient to take them.

4.What to pack if I travel in Jiayuguan?

By Train
Taking the train is the cheapest and most convenient way to get to Dunhuang from Jiayuguan. There are six trains departing from Jianyuguang to Dunhuang every day.

By Bus
There are only five direct buses/coaches leaving for Dunhuang from Jiayuguan every day. The buses/coaches can be caught at Jiayuguang Bus Station and they depart at 9:00, 10:30, 11:30, 14:30 and 15:30 only.

7. What we can eat in Jiayuguan?

Dunhuan g is located in Gansu Province in Western China, Xian is located in Shaanxi province. Around 1718km between Dunhuang and Xian city. The best way from Xian to Dunhuang is take the flight. There are 4 direct flights between Xian and Dunhuang every day. It takes about 2.5 hours by air. There is only one train (K367) from Xian to Dunhuang(22Hours).
